Mary Laird

Mary Jane Erskine Laird of Crystal City passed away on December 27, 2010 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 91. She was born on November 30, 1919 in Cometa, Texas to Josie Burden and Blucher Haynes Erskine, Jr.. She was married to Joseph S. Laird on June 20, 1943 in Crystal City, Texas. She is survived by two daughters Melinda L. Kilian of Austin, Texas and Melissa A. Lingwall and husband, Chris of Dallas, Texas four grandchildren Michael L. Kilian, Marshall M. Kilian, Patrick Joseph Lingwall, and Mary Catherine Lingwall two nieces Sarah G. Speer and Louise Grabbs. She was preceded in death by her parents husband, Joe S. Laird and soninlaw Monty Kilian. A rosary will be held on Friday at 5:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crystal City, Texas. Funeral services will be Saturday January 1, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crystal City, Texas with burial to follow in Erskine Cemetery at Cometa. Pallbearers will be Michael Kilian, Marshall Kilian, Patrick Lingwall, Mary Lingwall, Jerry Speer, and Chris Lingwall. Honorary pallbearers will be Errol Jonsson, Pete Simpson, Robert Wagner, Bill Wood, Billy Frank Skip Masar, Rodney Chitty, Ed Ritchie III, and Pat Morris.
