Mary Alicia Albarado Morales died in her home at 3:24 am on Friday, May 11, 2018 in Houston, Texas with her daughter Linda Morales by her side. She was 91.
Ms. Morales was born June 29, 1926 in Rio Frio, Texas to her parents, Santiago and Sarita Albarado. She was married to the late Sixto Morales, Sr.
Ms. Morales moved to Houston in 2013 where she lived the remainder of her years with her daughter. She retired approximately 27 years ago and dedicated her remaining time to working in her yard, reading and feeding her cats.
Ms. Morales worked for Vice President of the United States John Nance Garner and Park Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW.
Ms. Morales is survived by her daughters, Linda and Kathryn of Houston and sons, Sixto "Sam" of Corpus Christi and Nicolas of Uvalde and daughter in laws, Ernestine Morales and Esther Martinez. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Traci and 4 great grand daughters, Anessa, Patricia, Caprii and Jadelyn and 4 great great grandchildren, Alexander, Aliyah, Avery and Zayden. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sixto; and her sisters, Policarpia Cortez and Ernestina DeLeon and brother, Juan Albarado. Surviving brother Jim Albarado and sister Molly Gonzales.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
