Mary Prince

Mary Alice Prince of Uvalde passed away on May 16, 2015 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 95. She was born on April 14, 1920 in Barksdale, TX to Luther Oscar Smith and Buelah Locklar Smith. She married W.E. "Bill" Prince, Sr. on August 6, 1938. He preceded her in death in 2011. She is survived by a son, W.E. "Bill" Prince, Jr. and wife, Peggy Luce Prince of Uvalde; two grandchildren, Jeff Prince and wife, Julie of Thousand Oaks, CA; and Suzanne Nowak and husband, Jason of Parker, CO; and four great-grandchildren, Michael Roy Nowak; Matthew Ryan Nowak; Logan Blake Prince; and Nathan Luke Prince; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers and two sisters. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Barksdale Cemetery. Mr. Paul Stephens will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Herby Ham Activity Center, PO Box 5488, Uvalde, TX 78802 or the Uvalde Volunteer Fire Dept., 123 S. Getty St., Uvalde, TX 78801.
