Mary Sawyers

Mary Virginia Sawyers of Batesville passed away on February 21, 2016 at her residence at the age of 101. She was born on January 23, 1915 in Uvalde to William Richey Wilson and Mary Elizabeth Ryan Wilson. She married James Norman Sawyers on September 27, 1935. He preceded her in death on March 22, 1992. She is survived by a daughter, Ginger Coleman and husband, M.L "Fritz" of Uvalde; grandsons, James Beaumont Coleman and wife, Valeria of Uvalde and Kevin Lynn Coleman of Hunt; granddaughter, Jennifer Jill Griffin of Uvalde; five great-grandchildren, Kathleen Coleman, Natalie Coleman, Jack Coleman, Bella Griffin and Joslynn Griffin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, William G. "Bill" Wilson; and sister, LaNell Wilson. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary with burial to follow in Batesville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Mac Griffin, Ray Kruse, Mart Kennedy, Doug Phillips, Roy Henderson, and Don Willemin. Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Collins, Harold Lloyd, Rodney Reagan, Jaime Campos, Chuck Irwin, Jim "Beetle" Bailey, Chad Grigg, and Raymond De Leon.
