Mary Schawe

Mary Frances (Dole) Schawe of Uvalde passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 in Uvalde at the age of 93. She was born in Uvalde December 2, 1921 to Mae Frances and Scott Dole. In Uvalde, in 1949, she married Edgar Joseph "Happy" Schawe, who preceded her in death in 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jean Ann Angermiller; and brothers, Richard Dole and Joe Dole.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Jo Carpenter and husband, Wayne of Nashville, TN; one son, Walter Scott "Happy" Schawe of Uvalde; and seven grandchildren, Wade Carpenter of Uvalde; Marty Angermiller of Houston; Monty Carpenter of Nashville, TN; Kaci Schawe Mello of Batesville; Amanda Schawe of Overland Park, KS; Justin Schawe of Kerrville; and Makayla Schawe of Uvalde; nine great-grandchildren and two nephews. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Uvalde Cemetery.
