Mary Vasquez

Mary Martinez Vasquez of Uvalde passed away on August 17, 2009 in Medina Community Hospital at the age of 80. She was born on May 26, 1929 in Uvalde, Texas to Jose Maria and Elena Martinez. She married Johnny A. Vasquez in Uvalde, Texas. She is survived by her husband; Johnny A. Vasquez of Uvalde, Texas; one son; Johnny Vasquez Jr. and wife, Rosa of Dilley, Texas; three sisters; Hilda Martinez of Uvalde, Texas; Anita Garza of Roseburg, Oregon; and Dora Cordova of Millett, Texas; one brother; Joe Martinez Jr. of Uvalde, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; Juan Martinez and one sister; Rosie Robles. A rosary will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
