Mary Jo Rodriguez

Mary Jo Valdez Rodriguez of Uvalde, Texas passed away on March 30, 2022, at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 48.

She was born on January 30, 1974, in Uvalde, Texas to Ernest Trinidad and Elizabeth (Valdez) De La Garza.

She married Raul Rodriguez in Uvalde on March 30, 1996

She is survived by her husband, of Uvalde, Texas; mother, Elizabeth De La Garza of Uvalde, Texas; father, Ernest Trinidad of California; paternal grandmother, Lucy Trinidad of Uvalde; son, Abram Urbina of Uvalde; Texas brothers, Joey V. Lara, Jr. and Manuel De La Garza both of Uvalde; Texas; granddaughter, Aneka Vasquez of Uvalde, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Jose Olivarez Lara; maternal grandparents, Henry and Mary Valdez, Sr. and paternal grandfather, Carlos Trinidad.

Visitation will begin on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eloy Valdez, Jr., Eli Valdez, Jerad Ruiz, Rosalinda Rodriguez, Elsa Rodriguez, Louie Trinidad, and Mario De La Rosa.
