Mauricio Sanchez, Sr.

Mauricio Daniel Sanchez Sr. of Uvalde passed away on January 11, 2014 at Methodist Texsan Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 70. He was born on July 21, 1943 to Mauricio and Hortencia Munoz Sanchez. He married Olga Ybarra in Uvalde on February 16, 1960. He is survived by his wife of 53 years daughter, Olga Mae Sanchez and her companion Ben Vasquez of Brackettville sons, Roy Sanchez and his wife Elma of Sabinal, Roberto Sanchez and his wife Juanita and Roland Sanchez and his wife Mikka all of Uvalde soninChrist, Craig Cox and wife Tammy of Lytle brothers, Arturo Sanchez of Rockwall and Ricardo Sanchez of Uvalde, 12 grandchildren 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents son, Mauricio Daniel Sanchez, Jr. and brother, Armando Sanchez. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 7:00 pm at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Ruiz, Juan Tatie Hernandez, Gene Ayala, Joe Martinez, Carlos Guzman, Carlos Mata, Baldemar Esquivel and Alan Tinker. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernest Prado, Ruben Arredondo and Javier Harvey Rios
