Maurine Oliphant

Maurine Oliphant of Sabinal passed away on September 3, 2012 in Kerrville at the age of 86. She was born on June 28, 1926 in Sabinal to Sammy and Lucy Alley Felts. She married Tommy Oliphant on September 25, 1943 in Uvalde. She is survived by her husband of 68 years daughter, Darlene Lou Woodward and husband, Darrel of Spring Branch, TX soninlaw, Louis Joseph Azopardi of Austin brother, Hubert Lee Felts and wife, Betty of Sabinal three grandchildren, Tommy Joe Azopardi and wife, Molly Rene Hedemann and husband, Keith and Wayne Matthews and wife, Kerri and nine greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tommie Lee Azopardi and a son, Woody Wayne Oliphant. The family will greet visitors on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 57pm at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel in Sabinal. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel with burial following in Sabinal Cemetery. Rev. Leighanne Brechin will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jarrod Azopardi Kade Hedemann Dick Story James Kincaid George Driskill and Eddie Mathis. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Pish and Hubert Felts. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the 1st United Methodist Church in Sabinal.
