Mayre Gardner

Mayre Obannon Gardner of Uvalde passed away on July 15, 2015 at Uvalde Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center at the age 90. She was born on March 22, 1925 in Brewton, Alabama to John Bryant and Lilly (Ory) Obannon. She is survived by her daughter, Holly Gardner Dean of Cloudcroft, New Mexico; sons, John Gardner, Jr., Joe Gardner and wife Rea, Paul Gardner and wife Carolyn all of Uvalde and Patrick Gardner and wife Becky of Victoria; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 siblings and 2 grandchildren, Billy Ray Gardner and Heather McBride Thrower. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary
