Merri Maddox

Merri Upchurch Maddox of Uvalde passed away in Eddy, Texas on October 26, 2012 at the age of 59. She was born on November 7, 1952 in Uvalde to Henry Thomas and Wilma Gary Upchurch. She is survived by her daughters, Melynda Collins and husband Chevy of Uvalde, Vicki Moorer and husband Leo of Pflugerville, Tommi Maddox and husband Rusty of Ignacio, Colorado and Molly Penney of Uvalde sons, John C. Penney Jr. and wife Tammy of Eddy, Henry Penney and wife Tara of Sabinal and Jesse James Maddox and companion Skylor Winston of Eddy grandchildren, JW Blackman, Guy Cooper, T.J. McKee, Jacob McKee, Kassi Gerlt, John C. Penney III, Travis Penney, Dylan Maddox, Merri Elizabeth Maddox, John Paul Maddox, Tori Penney, Logan Penney, Emri Penney, Reni Winston, Josh Vargas, Misty Vargas, Dalton Haughey, La Trece Moorer, and Leah Moorer and 11 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Maddox, parents, sister, Jerri Upchurch, brother, Kenneth Upchurch and granddaughter, Stephanie Bowden. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Batesville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John C. Penney Jr., Henry Penney, Jesse James Maddox, Rusty Maddox, Chevy Collins, and Leo Moorer. Honorary pallbearers will be JW Blackman, Guy Cooper, T.J. McKee, Jacob McKee, John C. Penney III, Travis Penney, Dylan Maddox, John Paul Maddox and Logan Penney. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 54, Batesville, Texas 78829.
