Michael Salazar

Michael Salazar of Uvalde passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015 in San Antonio at the age of 29. He was born on August 7, 1985 in Uvalde to Alma (Alejandro) and Vincent Salazar Jr. He is survived by his parents; one brother, Vincent "Vinnie" Salazar III and wife, Melinda Alejandro of Uvalde; maternal grandparents, Rodolfo and Alicia Alejandro of Uvalde; paternal grandmother, Consuelo Salazar of Uvalde; niece, Layla Salazar of Uvalde; nephews, Julian Salazar and Nicholas Salazar both of Uvalde; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Vincent Salazar. A rosary will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary, and Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Vincent "Vinnie" Salazar III, Julian Salazar, Johnny Salazar, Ezequiel Martinez, Luke Alejandro, Dylan Alejandro, Jaime Valle and Ismael Valle.
