Mildred Deorsam

Mildred Frieda Rose Deorsam, a longtime resident of Knippa, TX died on August 7, 2014 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 97. She was born on April 19, 1917 in Izora, TX to Edwin Charles and Mary Emma Ramm Rose. She was baptized and confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Copperas Cove, TX on March 29, 1931. Here she also married Ewald Deorsam on February 4, 1940. She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Watson and husband, Gary of La Rose, LA son, Rodney Deorsam and wife, Joni of Uvalde six grandchildren, Justin Deorsam Jillian Deorsam Jeremy Deorsam Bradley Watson Brenda Watson Gros and Dana Watson Cassisa and four greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents husband and sister, Mabel Deorsam. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Knippa with burial to follow in Knippa Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Deorsam Jeremy Deorsam Bradley Watson James Renfro Gilbert Ayala and Richard Williams. Memorial donations may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Knippa or Uvalde EMS.
