Milton Pierce

Milton Steve Pierce of Uvalde passed away on November 4, 2013 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 92. He was born on January 21, 1921 in Barksdale, TX to Vollie and Nora May Harlan Pierce. He married Goldwyn Elizabeth Russell in Uvalde on June 6, 1942. She preceded him in death on October 4, 2011. He is survived by two daughters, Jean Elizabeth Pierce Batot of Austin, TX and Patti Pierce Johnson and husband, Frank of Friendswood, TX granddaughters, Marcia Willmann and husband, Scott of New Orleans, LA Holly Spears of Uvalde grandson, Joshua Donald Harrison of Franklinton, LA eight greatgrandchildren, Taylor Spears Mitchell Spears Alexandra Spears Genavieve Spears Trad Willmann Jett Willmann and Joshua Donald Harrison II and Rylee Brooke Harrison three brothers, Retired Lt. Col. Bill Pierce and wife, Christa of Austin, TX Lloyd Pierce and wife, Wanda of Portland, Arkansas and Carroll Eugene Pierce and wife, Joann of Livingston, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents brothers, Alvin, Homer, Ross and Glenn Pierce and sister, Ellene Gildart Jelenski. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Uvalde Cemetery. Rev. Lonnie Moore will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bill Pierce, Lloyd Pierce, Carroll Pierce, Mitchell Spears, Wayne Dougharty, and Ronnie Byrd.
