Nancy James

Nancy Jo James of Uvalde passed away on November 8, 2015 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 77. She was born on December 6, 1937 in Bryan County, Oklahoma to Joe Elbert and Mary Magdaline (Winnett) Hopkins. She married Billy Joe James in Achille, Oklahoma on July 18, 1959. She is survived by her husband Billy Joe James of Uvalde; sons, Jeffrey James and wife Michelle of Uvalde, Russell James and wife Rebekah of Uvalde and Bradley James and wife Valerie of San Antonio; sisters, Sue Suber of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Beverly Clountz of Allen and Norma Trammell of Palo Pinto; brother, George Hopkins of Achille, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jessica James, Austin James, Ethan James, Lauren James and Emily James; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A chapel service will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 11:00 am at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest cemetery. Pallbearers will be Austin James, Ethan James, James Sullivan, David McCracken, Travis Bauer and John Mozey
