Naomi Mason

Naomi Sanchez Mason of Uvalde passed away on July 29, 2022, at Stone Oak Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 49.

She was born on August 3, 1972, in Uvalde, Texas to Florencia (Coronado) and Roberto I. Sanchez.

She married Thomas Mason, Sr., on June 23, 1994, in Uvalde.

She is survived by her mother, Florencia Vera and husband, Juan of Uvalde; father, Roberto Sanchez and wife, Maricela of Uvalde; daughter, Aysha Renah Ruiz and husband, Carlos of Batesville; maternal grandmother, Gregoria Coronado of Uvalde; sons, Bryon Alexander Mason and Thomas Robert Mason, Jr. both of Uvalde; sisters, Anna Sanchez, Melissa Ortez both of Houston, Cheyanne Vera, and Cecilia Coronado both of Uvalde; step sisters, Yolanda Velasquez, Mona Nevarez, Sue Ellen Vera and Griselda Sanchez all of Uvalde, Mary L. Castillo of Sequin, Mary Garza of Brackettville, brother, Robert C. Sanchez and step brother, Ramon Vera both of Uvalde; grandchildren, Mateo Manuel Mason and Cataleia Gregoria Ruiz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband; maternal grandfather, Telésforo Coronado; and paternal grandparents, Alfredo and Guadalupe Sanchez.

Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

A memorial service will be held on September 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Iglesia Primera Jerico, 199 Windmill Rd., Uvalde, TX 78801.

Interment of ashes will follow at Hilcrest Cemetery, along with her husband, Thomas Mason.
