Nelson Jechow

Nelson E. Jechow of Uvalde passed away on June 7, 2009 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. He was born on January 10, 1925 in Seguin, Texas to William and Telka Jechow. He married Loraine Henk on June 15, 1948 in New Braunfels, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Loraine Jechow of Uvalde, Texas; two sons; Michael Jechow and wife, Joy of Uvalde, Texas, and Madison Jechow and wife, Deena Perkins of Austin, Texas; grandchildren; Luke Jechow and wife, Sarah of Charlotte, North Carolina; Elyssa Jechow of College Station; Hannah Jechow of Uvalde, Texas; and Brooks and Bryce Perkins Jechow of Austin, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. A rosary was held on Tuesday at 7:00 Pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 10:30 AM in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park in New Braunfels, Texas. Pallbearers will be Luke Jechow, Steven Jechow, Douglas Patterson, Ben Harp, Daniel Dietert, and Greg Visel. Honorary pallbearers are all officers and the board of directors of First State Bank of Uvalde. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Uvalde Memorial Hospital, Capital Campaign, Regional Cancer Care Medical Center, 1025 Garner Field Rd., Uvalde, Texas 78801.
