Octaviano Niño, Sr.

Octaviano Sanchez Niño, Sr. of La Pryor passed away on November 1, 2017 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 83. He was born on March 22, 1934 in El Moral, Coahuila, Mexico to Victoriano Niño and Maria Sanchez Niño. He married Maria del Carmen Tijerina on January 12, 1963 in San Isidro, Coahuila, Mexico. He is survived by his wife of 54 years; five daughters, Maria del Carmen Lopez and husband, Ricardo of La Pryor; Irene Ramon and husband, Joe of Cedar Park; Imelda Trejo and husband, Victor and Olivia Gibbs and husband, Michael, all of Uvalde; and Alma Delia Nuñez and husband, Rupert of San Antonio; two sons, Alfredo Niño and wife, Lety of San Marcos and Octaviano Niño, Jr. and wife, Dr. Angela Niño of Mesquite; sister, Maria Bookout of Eagle Pass; fourteen grandchildren, Cristian Lopez; Ricardo Lopez; Moises Lopez; Marissa Ramon; Cristina Ramon; Marcos Niño; Raquel Niño; Joseph Niño; Emily Gibbs; Michael Gibbs, Jr.; Rupert Nuñez, Jr.; Elise Nuñez; Ethan Niño; and Jacob Niño; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Felipe Niño; and several brothers and sisters. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial to follow in La Pryor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marcos Niño; Joseph Niño; Cristian Lopez; Ricky Lopez, Jr.; Alfredo Niño; and Octaviano Niño, Jr.
