Odilia Cruz

Odilia Flores Cruz formally of Uvalde passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in Houston at the age of 67. Mrs. Cruz was born on January 21, 1949 in Uvalde to Petra (Alvarado) and Santos Flores Jr.
She is survived by three daughters, Lisa A. Banda and husband Javier of McAllen; Laura Maldonado and husband Lawrence of Corpus Christi and Celina Arciga and husband Antonio of Hawaii; two sons, Michael Lopez and wife Rita of Baytown and Alejandro Lopez III of Houston; seven sisters, Beatrice Gutierrez of San Antonio; Olga Martinez of Merkel, Anita Ybarra of Austin; Yolanda Garcia and husband Jesse of Cibolo; Rosa Rodriguez and husband Ernesto of Uvalde; Alicia Castellon and husband George of La Grange and Rachel Rangel and husband Casimiro of Uvalde; four brothers, Santos Flores III and wife Estella of Uvalde; Ruben Flores and wife Abigail of Uvalde; Bobby Flores of Uvalde and Roy Flores and wife JoAnn of Uvalde; nine grandchildren, Lauryn Maldonado, Marco Maldonado, Gabriel Maldonado all of Corpus Christi, Xavier Rivero, Alonzo Banda of McAllen, Antonio Arciga Jr., David Arciga of Hawaii, Nadia Lopez and Michael Eric Lopez Jr of Baytown; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cruz was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Rudy Flores and Ramiro Flores.
A rosary will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary, a vigil will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 2:30 pm at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church.
Pallbearers will be Ruben Flores, Roy Flores, Roberto Flores, Michael Lopez, Alejandro Lopez III, and Xavier Rivero
