Olga Brooks

Olga V. Brooks of Uvalde passed away on January 13, 2019 in San Antonio at the age of 74. She was born on June 23, 1944 in Uvalde to Ventura and Josephine (Mancha) Vasquez.
She is survived by her children, David Gonzales, and wife, Mary Helen of Tilden, Daniel Gonzales and wife, Julie of Uvalde, Donna Gonzales, Joy Crone, Debbie Ann Wilson and husband, Donald, Valentine Garcia all of San Antonio, Nadine Hood and husband, Dwayne of Sorrento, Florida, Kirk Brooks and wife, Kathy of Houston, and Dan Brooks and wife, Jackie of Abilene; sisters, Ella Mae De Hoyos of San Antonio, Lavinia Heinshon or Arlington and Annabelle Juarez of San Antonio; brother, Ventura Vasquez, Jr. of Spofford; 19 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Brooks; parents; sister, Elva Gonzales; brother, Gilbert Vasquez; grandson, Jacob Gonzales, and son in law, John Crone, III.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Gonzales, Derek Gonzales, Chris Gonzalez, Cristan Lopez, Jaime Lopez, Daniel "DJ" Gonzales, Jr., Kalob Gonzales, and Timothy Elemen.
