Olga Ybarra Sanchez of Uvalde passed away on February 27, 2018 in San Antonio at the age of 76. She was born on May 18, 1941 in Blewett, Texas to Arturo Gonzalez Ybarra and Francisca Gonzales.
She married Mauricio Daniel Sanchez in Uvalde on February 16, 1960.
She is survived by her daughter, Olga Mae Sanchez and companion, Ben Vasquez of Brackettville; sons, Roy Sanchez and wife, Elma of Sabinal, Roberto Sanchez and wife, Juanita and Roland Sanchez and wife, Mikka all of Uvalde; sisters, Carmela Uriegas and husband, Rudolfo, Refugia "Cuca" Uriegas, and Rosa Ibarra and husband, Joe all of Uvalde; brothers, Guadalupe Ybarra and Arturo Ybarra and wife Cynthia all of Uvalde; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband; son, Mauricio Daniel Sanchez, Jr.; sisters, Candelaria De La Paz and Anita Avalos; and brother, Conrad Ybarra.
A rosary will be held on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Danny Sanchez, Robert Sanchez, Roland Sanchez, Jr., Santos Camacho, Javiel Camacho, Joel Gonzalez, Kole Lara, Joaquin Sanchez and Landon Klein.
