Olga Faltisek Strube, age 96, passed away peacefully Thanksgiving morning. She was born to Emil and Louise Faltisek in Olfen, Texas on July 3, 1911. Olga married Otto Strube in February of 1932 in Rowena, TX at 8:00 AM with a fried chicken reception following. Otto and Olga lived in Wall for seventeen years before moving to Uvalde for their remaining years. She was the mother of three daughters, Shirley, Beverly Book, and Cleo Eddy. Olga was a member of the Home Demonstration Club and Catholic Women's Club. She was a full-time homemaker. Olga enjoyed playing bridge with several groups in Uvalde. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren always put a smile on her face when they visited. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto; daughter, Beverly Book; and son-in-law, Tommy Eddy. She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Wilde and husband, Lawrence and Cleo Eddy, all of Uvalde; son-in-law, Frank Book of San Angelo; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. A rosary led by Deacon Ken Dirksen will be held Friday, 112307, at 6:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, 11242007, at 12 noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial following in Hillcrest Cemetery. Fr. Ralph Reyes will officiate. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Larry Wilde; Randy Wilde; Jonny Hipp; Chris Eddy; Dee Eddy; Mike Ondrias; and Bert Book. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc. or the American Cancer Society.
