Olivia Castro

Olivia E. Castro of San Antonio, formerly of Uvalde, passed away on March 8, 2020 in San Antonio at the age of 86.  She was born on August 5, 1933 in Uvalde to Jesusa (Carrisalez) and Jose Espadas.  She is survived by a daughter, Eileen Jasso and husband, Brian of San Antonio; two sisters, Rachel Tafolla of Uvalde and Dolores Wilson of Napa Valley, CA; five grandchildren, Sydney Grace Talavera, Chelsea Jolivia Talavera, Alejandro Gabriel Ortiz, Anthony Joseph Jasso, and Ava Mari Jasso.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roberto Espadas and Rene Espadas; and one sister, Eva Martinez.  A prayer service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary with cremation to follow.  Rev. Jose Rene Martinez will officiate.
