Ophelia S. Frausto of Buda, Texas, formerly of Uvalde passed away on September 22, 2017, at her residence at the age of 90. She was born on March 4, 1927 in Uvalde to Lucas and Concepcion (Hernandez) Samora. She married Jose Isabel Frausto on September 22, 1961 in Uvalde. She passed away on the day of her 56th wedding anniversary.
She is survived by her children, Josie Diaz of Uvalde, TX, Dahlia and husband, Richard Torres of Buda, TX, Edward and wife, Shelly Rodriguez of Salt Lake City, UT, Dora and husband, Gilberto Ybañez of Buda, TX, Mary Diane and husband, Reynaldo Rodriguez of Uvalde, TX, Juan and wife, Mari Frausto of San Antonio, TX, Isabelle and husband, Javier Gonzalez of Uvalde, TX, Belinda and husband, Julio Cesar Rosado of Buda, TX, and Isidro Frausto of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Soila Samora of Uvalde, Concha Zamora, Janie Zamora both of Salt Lake City, Utah and Beatrice Gonzalez of Michigan; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Isabel Frausto; son, Roberto Rodriguez; brothers, Acencion Samora and Lucas Samora; sisters, Victoria Cadena, Catalina Clabaugh and Feliz Zamora Ward.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 5p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
Pallbearers will be Richard Torres, Julio Cesar Rosado, Robert Rodriquez, Gilberto Ybañez, Josiah Torres, and James Diaz
