Oralia Cardenas

Mrs. Oralia G. Cardenas of Uvalde passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 at her residence at the age of 76. Mrs. Cardenas was born on May 28, 1939 in Edinburg, Texas to Julio Guajardo and Ramona Hernandez. She married Jose Maria Cardenas in Uvalde. She is survived by daughter, Celia Cardenas Reynolds of Uvalde; four sons, Jose Martin Cardenas; Pablo Cardenas and wife Belia; Julio Cardenas and Abram Cardenas and wife Bertha all of Uvalde; two sisters, Odilia Cervantez of New Braunfels and Guadalupe Guajardo of Houston; twenty-six grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cardenas is preceded in death by her husband Jose Maria Cardenas, son, Daniel C. Rodriguez, parents, sister, Matilde Villarreal, and two brothers, Rafael Guajardo and Guadalupe Guajardo.
A prayer services will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 and Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Luis Reynolds Jr., Jose Martin Cardenas Jr., Abram Cardenas Jr., Pablo Cardenas Jr., Oscar Martinez, Jesus Cardenas, Daniel Kurt Cardenas and Julio Cardenas Jr.
