Oscar Martinez

Oscar Rios Martinez of Uvalde passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at his residence at the age of 66. Mr. Martinez was born on December 28, 1949 in Batesville to Miguel and Herminina (Rios) Martinez. He is survived by five sisters, Frances Martinez of Uvalde; Estella Martinez Garcia and husband Valentin of Uvalde; Olga Ramirez and husband Juan of Mercedes; Irma Mickulenk and husband David of San Antonio and Anita De La Cerda and husband Augustin of Uvalde; three brothers, Ricardo Martinez, David Martinez and wife Sylvia and Raul Martinez all of Uvalde; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Martinez is preceded in death by his parents.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 and Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Reynaldo Rios, Mario Garcia Jr., Jonathan Garcia, Nolberto Balbuena, David Martinez and Raul Olivarez.
