Oscar Neira

Oscar Richie Neira of Uvalde passed away on January 3, 2011 in Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 76. He was born on July 24, 1934 in Staples, Texas to Horacio and Emma Neira. He is survived by daughter Monica Behm and husband Robert of San Antonio, Texas sons Luis Neira and Eric Neira both of Uvalde, Texas sister Antonia Trevino of San Marcos, Texas brother Horacio Neira Jr. of San Marcos, Texas Aunt Gudelia Neira of Eagle Pass, Texas four grandchildren Jerry Richie, Apolonia, Eryka, and Jac numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Apolonia Pola Neira, parents, sister Matilde Flores and brother Ermilio Neira. A rosary will be held Tuesday and Wednesday at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 6. 2011 at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Uvalde, Texas with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jerry Richie Behm, Anthony Silva, Joe Mark Arizmendi, Sergio Porras Jr., Ray Mata Jr. and Mario Gonzalez.
