Patricia Kay Sturdivant of Uvalde passed away on February 21, 2020 in San Antonio at the age of 70. She was born on September 19, 1949 in Uvalde to Margaret Hazel (Sights) and Bertram Joseph McNelly, Sr. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jim Ed Sturdivant, Jr. of Uvalde; son, James E. Sturdivant III and wife, Karen of San Antonio; two daughters, Patricia Michelle Belcher and husband, Hollis of Canyon Lake; and Jana Marie Britt and husband, Austin of San Antonio; brother, Bertram McNelly, Jr. of Austin; sister, Barbara McNelly House and husband, Bob of Abilene; sister-in-law, Wanda McNelly of Irving, TX;
11 grandchildren, Mike Friedrichs; Monica Allman and husband, Thomas; Brittany Benton; Kelsey Berry and husband, Chris; Branson and Kolton Belcher; Kaden and Kameron Crump; and Sydney, Lyndon, and
London Britt; 7 great-grandchildren, Harper and Quinn Allman; Starr Benton; Zayla and Zander Cox; Hayden and Noah Berry; and close friends, Annie Ramsey of George West, TX; and Linda Bailey McAdams of Uvalde. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bruce McNelly Sr.; sisters-in-law, Phyllis McNelly and Jann Sturdivant; and great-grandson, Owen Benton. The family will greet visitors on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 1 :30 p.m. at St. Philip's Episcopal Church with burial following in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Mike Marsh will officiate. Pallbearers will be Branson Belcher, Kolton Belcher, Kaden Crump, Kameron Crump, Dwayne House, Bruce McNelly Jr., Mike Friedrichs, Travis Morgan and Honorary Pallbearer, Joe Sturdivant.
