Patricia Flores Young

Patricia Flores Young, of Uvalde, passed away on September 26th, 2024, at North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey FL at the age of 59. 

She was born in Eagle Pass, Tx to Ricardo R. Flores and Antonia V. Flores

She married Ronald Young on July 29th, 2000, in Uvalde, Tx. 

After Patricia graduated from Uvalde High School 1983, she enroll in Sul Ross University and attained her Associates Degree. She then began working at the family bakery, Fiesta Bakery & Cake Shop. She married Ronald Young in 2000, and moved to Florida where she then started working in Retail and Customer Service. 

Patricia was deeply devoted to her faith, therefore she dedicated a lot of her time to volunteering around the community and church such as the Society of St Vicent de Paul, teaching ESL classes, and volunteering with the Rosary Club at the local Catholic Church. 

In her spare time at home, she enjoyed walking with her husband and spoiling her cats. She was a big movie enthusiast and entrepreneur on eBay.

But most of all, Patricia was a true friend to all who knew her. She was always thoughtful and caring to everyone she met while also showing a great sense of humor. 

 Patricia is survived by her husband of 24 years, Ronald Young, sister Mary Flores of Uvalde and nephew Frank Gaitan and wife Amanda and their children Frankie and Aiden of Uvalde, and niece Teresa Gaitan of Denton, Tx,

Patricia was preceded in death by her father Ricardo R. Flores and mother Antonia V. Flores, brother Richard V Flores Jr. and wife Diane M. Flores and sister Maria “Teri” Gaitan.

Rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 9th at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 10th at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charitable organization of your choice.
