Paul Pitts

Paul Pratt Pitts of Leakey passed away on September 10, 2009 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 89. He was born on July 1, 1920 in La Pryor to T.L. and Ada Pitts. He served in WWII in North Africa. He is survived by his wife, Glyndolen Pitts of Leakey; two sons, Paul Wesley Pitts and wife, Merry Dee of Uvalde; and Neal Wayne Pitts and wife, Lynda of Leakey; sister, Francis Agee Davis of Houston; five grandchildren, Nicole Gueck and husband, Brian; Renee Williams and husband, Scott; Toby Pitts; Ryan Pitts and wife Lucille; and Erik Pitts; four great-grandchildren, Trayce Gueck; Gunnar Williams; Mackenzie Pitts; and Jesse Vara; and numerous nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kyle Pitts and George Burr Pitts; and sister, Ruby Pitts Thompson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel with burial to follow in La Pryor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ryan Pitts, Erik Pitts, Brian Gueck, Clayton Dillard, Rick Reynolds, and Scott Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Joey and Randy Chapman.
