Paula Gonzales

Paula Rodriguez Gonzales of Uvalde passed away on September 4, 2017 at the age of 67 at Main Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. She was born on February 3, 1950 in Uvalde, Texas to Antonio V. Gonzales and Severa Rodriguez.
She attended Uvalde High School and graduated in 1969. She worked for 17 years at Southwestern Bell and recently retired from Uvalde County Appraisal District after working there for over 33 years. She was also a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She is survived by her sister, Senaida R. Gonzales of Uvalde; four brothers, Anastacio R. Gonzales and companion, Lupe Ibarra, Antonio R. Gonzales and wife, Maria, Genaro R. Gonzales and wife, Delma and Arnulfo R. Gonzales all of Uvalde; brother in law, Jesus Alfonso Espinoza of Uvalde; nieces, Elizabeth Guzman and husband, Mario Antonio II, Adriana McNeil and husband, Joshua, Claudia Morquecho and husband, Martin, Gabriella G. Gonzales and Nadia G. Gonzales; nephews, Anastacio Gonzales Jr., Joseph Gonzales and fiancé, Mandy Roddy, Juan Antonio Gonzales and fiancé Elma Ruiz, Fabian Gonzales and Joaquine Genaro Gonzales; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary R. Gonzales and Cristina G. Espinoza; brother, Juan Antonio R. Gonzales; and niece, Veronica G. Espinoza.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass is set for Friday, September 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment to follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Anastacio Gonzales Jr., Joseph Gonzales, Juan Antonio Gonzales, Fabian Gonzales, Genaro Martinez and Daniel Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesus Alfonso Espinoza and Joaquine Genaro Gonzales.
