Pauline Rodriguez

Pauline Vasquez Rodriguez of Uvalde passed away on September 29, 2008 at the age of 82. She was born on October 3, 1925 in Batesville to Tomas and Maria Prado Vasquez. She married Jorge Rodriguez in Batesville on March 20, 1942. She is survived by nine daughters, Esther Molina and husband, Guillermo of Round Rock, TX; Eufemia Hernandez and husband, Emilio of Lytle; Oralia Mendez of San Jose, CA; Irene Santos, Rosalinda Garcia, Elsa Rodriguez, and Sandra Martinez and husband, Roy, all of Uvalde; Dora Elia Arredondo and husband, Jose Leos of San Marcos; and Elma R. Ruiz and husband, Richard of Sabinal; one son, Rosendo Rodriguez and wife, Maria Robles of Uvalde; two sisters, Esperanza Olvedo of Uvalde and Estella Martinez of Minnesota; four brothers, Tomas Vasquez, Jr. of Evans, CO; Hipolito and Ramon Vasquez, both of Uvalde; and Eugenio Vasquez of Columbus, GA; 41 grandchildren; 85 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, San Juanita Rodriguez; sister, Marinez Perez; brother, Martin Vasquez; and grandson, Gilbert Santos. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2008, at 1:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pastor Rene Ramirez will officiate. Pallbearers will be Rudy Molina; Donald Lugo; Ernest Santos, Jr.; Jose Chapa, Jr.; Ramon Diaz, Jr.; Michael Rodriguez; Jorge Rodriguez; and Roy Martinez, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Shane Rodriguez; Nancy Riojas; Ronald Rodriguez; Norma Jean Torres; and Jessica Rodriguez.
