Pedro Zamora Sr.

Pedro T. Zamora Sr. of Uvalde passed away on June 22, 2008 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 63. He was born on November 11, 1944 in Uvalde, Texas to Juan and Martina Zamora. He married Maria Castro in Uvalde, Texas on January 10, 1971. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Maria C. Zamora of Uvalde, Texas; three daughters; Geneva Z. Martinez and husband, Daniel; Chrisie Zamora and Maria C. Zamora all of Uvalde, Texas; two sons; Pedro Zamora and wife, Jennifer and Ruben Zamora and wife, Christina all of Uvalde, Texas; four sisters; Lucy DeLeon of Falls City, Texas; Celia Alvarez, Victoria Zamora and Marty Zamora all of Uvalde, Texas; one brother; Johnny Zamora of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Emilio Zamora. A rosary will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
