Pedro "Pete" Cruz

Mr. Pedro “Pete” Cruz of San Antonio, formally of Uvalde passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2020 in San Antonio at the age of 61.

Pete was born on January 31, 1958 in Uvalde to Jesus G. and Florencia (Sanchez) Cruz.

He is survived by four sisters, Janie Rodriguez and husband, Domingo of Uvalde, Connie Flores and husband, Raul of Uvalde, Mary Cruz of Nashville, Tn. and Rosie Moreno and husband, Felipe of San Antonio; four brothers, Jesse Cruz and wife, Soroya of Uvalde, Joe Cruz of Hobbs, New Mexico, Armando Cruz and wife, Lupe of Uvalde and Mike Cruz and wife, Amelia of Uvalde; step-mother, Francisca de Cruz of Del Rio; step-brother, Juan Pablo Rodriguez of Wichita, Kansas; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Annie Cruz.

Visitation for Pete will begin at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, January 15. 2020.  A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, January 15 and Thursday, January 16 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 12:30 pm at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike Cruz, Armando Cruz, Joe Cruz, Jesse Cruz, Miguel Cruz, Jaime Cruz, Domingo Rodriguez and Ricardo Rodriguez.
