Peggy was born March 1, 1943, in San Antonio, to Katherine Louise Feldtman and C.A. Pepper.
Peggy worked as an administrator for J.P. Mona Velasquez as well as the Uvalde County District Attorney's office for many years. The family says that Pepper was known for her creative talent, having spent much of her life crafting and painting pictures of southwest texas. She was a devoted grandmother, mother, friend to many, and the family says she never passed up a conversation on her grand daughters, recipes, gardening, or politics.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Mckinney of Sabinal; three granddaughters, Chelsea Barragan of Uvalde, Karlee Hubble of Marble Falls, and Meredith Hubble and husband, Steven, of San Antonio; great-granddaughter, Blake Madison Collins, of Uvalde; brother, Glen Pepper of Sabinal; two sisters, Karen Phillips and husband, Jimmy, of Sabinal, and Pat Havel and husband, Eddie, of Hondo; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday,Sep. 20, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Sabinal.
A private burial service for family and close friends will be held on a later date.
Cremation was under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
