Petra Hita

Petra Nila Reyes Hita of Uvalde passed away on July 20, 2009 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. She was born on May 15, 1925 in Uvalde to Santos and Juanita Ramirez Reyes. She married Francisco Javier Hita in Uvalde on July 15, 1959. She is survived by her husband of 50 years; three daughters, Carolina Mae Cardenas and husband, Richard of San Antonio; and Irene Richards and Ida Sierra, both of Uvalde; brother, Simon Reyes; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Joe Hita. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial following in Hillcrest Cemetery.
