Petra Quijano

Petra Garza Quijano passed away at her residence on April 21, 2011 in Uvalde at the age of 81. She was born on March 12, 1930 in San Angelo, Texas to Gabriel and Maria Garza. She married Manuel Quijano on December 10, 1946 in Crystal City, Texas. She is survived by her husband of 64 years five daughters, Anna Vasquez and husband Robert Rose Martinez Sandy Neely and husband Kenneth Angie Garcia all of California and Mary Padilla and husband Fermin of Uvalde. Five sisters Irene Perez of Uvalde Eva Garza of Gonzalez, Maria Elena Diaz of Lubbock, Ninfa De Leon of Somerset, and Ida Flores of Gonzales three brothers Gilbert Garza of Minnesota Guadalupe Garza of Lubbock, and Zaragosa Garza of Lubbock 14 grandchildren, 11 greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sons Carlos Quijano Manuel Quijano Johnny Quijano and Joe Quijano. Viewing will be held on Sunday April 24, 2011 from 5:00 9:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Cremation under the direction of RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary.
