Rafael Nieto Jr.

Rafael “Neto” Nieto, Jr. of Batesville passed away on April 18, 2021 at his residence at the age of 75.  He was born on July 22, 1945 in Encinal, Texas to Rafael and Leandra (Ramon) Nieto.

He is survived by his companion, Juanita Cantu Platts of Batesville; sister, Rafaela Nieto Ramirez of Encinal; brothers, Alfredo Tobias of San Antonio and Febronio Ramon of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Isabel Elodia Rodriguez and Leandra N. Mena; and brothers, Juan Manuel Ramon and Rogelio Ramon.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

Honorary pallbearers are Alfredo R. Tobias, Enrique Mora III, Everardo Arizola, Raymundo Galindo, Jr. Roberto Galindo and Brian Platts.

Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
