Mr. Rafael Silva, Jr. of Uvalde passed away June 17, 2007 in Uvalde Healthcare Rehab Center in Uvalde at the age of 95.

He was born on February 18, 1912 in Dewville, Tx. to Guadalupe Rafael Silva, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Margarita Silva of Uvalde, Tx.; daughters, Celia S. Regalado husband, Domingo of San Antonio, Tx.; Carmela Gonzales husband, Eliseo of Uvalde, Tx.; Leticia Gamman; Rosa Silva; Silvia Silva; Claudia Silva Blanca Silva, all of Grand Prairie, Tx.; sons, Sixto Silva wife, Romelia; Rafael Silva, III wife, Lydia, all of Uvalde, Tx.; Manuel Silva; Rafael Silva; Ruben Silva, all of Grand Prairie, Tx.; sisters, Teresa Lopez of Floresville, Tx.; Clara Vega husband, Ernest of Seguin, Tx. Rosie Flores of Meza, Az.; brothers, Amado Silva wife, Edna of Saspanco, Tx.; Eduardo Silva wife, Guadalupe of San Antonio, Tx.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers 2 sisters.

A rosary will be held at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel in Uvalde on Tuesday at 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
