Rafaela Mendoza

Rafaela N. Mendoza of La Pryor passed away on Sunday August 12, 2012 at her residence at the age of 90. She was born on June 9, 1922 in La Pryor to Esteban and Maria Mares Najera. She is survived by her daughters, Guadalupe M. Arenas, Gloria M. Barrios and husband Arnold, Benita Gonzales and husband George all of La Pryor and Andrea M. Vasquez and husband Ray of Rice, Texas sons, Jesus N. Mendoza and wife Petra of La Pryor, Juan Mendoza and wife Corina of Bandera, Texas, Rafael N. Mendoza and wife Dora of La Pryor daughter in law, Soledad Mendoza of La Pryor 17 grandchildren 18 greatgrandchildren 2 greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Valentine Mendoza Sr. daughter, Lydia Mendoza sons, Valentin Mendoza Jr. Valentin Mendoza Jr., and Armando Mendoza sister, Andrea N. Mata brothers, Jose Najera and Guadalupe Najera daughter in law, Connie Ann Mendoza grandson, Victor Mendoza and greatgranddaughter, Chelsie Ramirez . A rosary will be held on Monday August 13, 2012 and Tuesday August 14, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church in La Pryor. Burial will follow at La Pryor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Samuel Lee Leal, Rolando Victorino Jr., George Gonzales Jr., Valentine Mendoza III, Rafael Mendoza Jr., Isaac Mendoza, Raymond Fuentes and Joe Ramirez.
