Ramiro Cruz

Ramiro Villarreal Cruz of Uvalde passed away on October 19, 2010 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 81. He was born on January 17, 1929 in La Pryor, Texas to Juan Estevan and Odetila Cruz. He is survived by his companion Martha Luna of Uvalde, Texas two daughters Susan Trevino and Leticia Cruz and husband, Tony Diaz all of Uvalde, Texas two sons Ramiro Cruz Jr. and wife, Carola and Raymond Cruz and wife, Elizabeth all of Del Rio, Texas one sister Marina Pargas of Marana, Arizona one brother Armando Cruz of Concan, Texas grandchildren Justin Ray Cruz, Billy Ray Cruz, Karolina Cruz, Briana Cruz, Brittany Cruz, Brandon Cruz, Joe Dean Trevino Jr., T.J. Trevino and Neneshka Trevino four great grandchildren special friends Martha and Robert Lara and family Anna and Rogelio Munoz and family Betty and Joe Booher of San Antonio Armando and Darlene Luna and family of Houston Joe Luna, Pat Reyes, and family of New Mexico Raul Luna and family of Del Rio Sulema and Conrad Ybarra Jr.and family Linda and Armando Gomez and family, Idy and Ben Gonzales and family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vasilia Cruz, brothers Juan Cruz, Santiago Cruz, and Francisco Cruz sisters Librada Lile Aranda and Jesusita Chita Arredondo. A rosary will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 22, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Uvalde Hospice 124 Royal Lane, Uvalde, Texas 78801. Pallbearers will be Justin Ray Cruz, Billy Ray Cruz, Joe Dean Trevino Jr., Brandon Cruz, Ben Gonzales Jr., Jonas Gonzales, Tony Luna and Ronnie Strawn.
