Ramon Ortegon Jr.

Ramon Ortegon Jr. of La Pryor passed away on August 5, 2014 at Amistad Nursing Home in Uvalde at the age of 81. He was born on in La Pryor on October 19, 1932 to Ramon and Refugia Valdez Ortegon. He married Olga Perez Ortegon on July 14, 1956 in La Pryor. He is survived by his wife of 58 years daughter, Olga Gonzalez sons, John Ortegon, Carlos Ortegon, Jesse Ortegon, Joe Ortegon sister, Refugia McKay all of La Pryor 18 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents daughter, Ana Maria Castillo sisters, Guadalupe Enriquez, Alicia Perez and Maria De Rosa Vasquez. A rosary will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church in La Pryor. Burial will follow at La Pryor Cemetery.
