Ramon Rios Sr.

Ramon Salas Rios Sr. of Uvalde passed away on January 27, 2009 in Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 50. He was born on December 29, 1958 in Uvalde, Texas to Emilio and Petra Rios. He married Eva Silva in Uvalde, Texas on August 20, 1983. He is survived by his wife of 25 years Eva S. Rios of Uvalde, TX; two sons; John Phillip Silva and Ramon Silva Rios Jr. both of Uvalde, TX; one sister; Alicia Rios of Omaha, Nebraska; one brother; Reynaldo S. Rios of Uvalde, TX; three grandchildren; John Phillip Silva Jr., Matthew Alexander Rios, and Crista Martinez; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; Irene Rios and Oralia Vallez; one brother; Emilio Rios Jr. A rosary will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 30, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edward Rodriguez Jr., Rey Rios Jr.; Jerry Torres, Jason Garcia, Moses Vallez III, and Michael Rios.
