Ramona Benitez

Ramona Benitez of La Pryor passed away on Sunday December 11, 2011 at Northeast Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 75. She was born on April 18, 1936 in La Pryor to Felipe and Rita Ortiz Ruiz. She married Pedro Benitez in Big Wells on November 15, 1952. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, daughters, Norma Mancias of Uvalde, Brenda Benitez of San Antonio, sons, Jerry Benitez and wife Elvia Terry Benitez and wife Theresa and Danny Benitez all of Chicago, sisters, Gloria Valle of Elgin. Illinois Isidra Lomas of Edcouch, Texas Diane Aguilar of Cotulla Olga Reyna of Corpus Christi brother, Domingo Ruiz of Phoenix Arizona 9 grandchildren, 9 greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother Everardo Ruiz. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday December 14, 2011 Thursday December 15, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Rushing Estes Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday December 16, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Templo Gethsemani in La Pryor. Burial will follow at La Pryor Cemetery.
