Raquel Capetillo Arreola, 82, of Uvalde passed away at her residence.
She was born on November 15, 1942, in Uvalde, Texas to Julia Fuentes.
She is survived by her son, Ponciano Arreola and wife, Berlinda of Uvalde; stepson, Benny Arriola and wife, Kathy of Wallis; two sisters, Marta Guerrero of Salem, Oregon and Maricela Rivera of Uvalde; two brothers, Jose Martinez, Jr. of Dallas and Frankie Sotelo of Plains; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Garza, Louie Aguilar, Jr., Jessica Samarripa, Mario “Tony” Guzman, Mark Guzman, Michael Arreola, Anthony Arreola and Danny Arreola; eight step grandchildren, Chris Arriola, Matthew Arriola, Mark Arriola, Benjamin Arriola, Melissa Arriola, Sunny Arriola, Amber Arriola, and Melissa Cocchiaro; and numerous great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Porfirio Arreola, Sr.; two sons, Porfirio Arreola, Jr., and Daniel Arreola, daughter, Gloria Guzman, step grandson, Benny Arriola, Jr.
Visitation will be held on December 26, 2024, at 4 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on December 27, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Pallbearers will be Louie Aguilar, Jr., Mario “Tony” Guzman, Mark Guzman, Danny Arreola, Anthony Arreola, Michael Arreola, Angel Garza, and Benjamin Arriola.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jennifer Garza and Jessica Samarripa.
