Raul Lopez, Sr.

Raul A. Lopez, Sr. of Uvalde passed away on June 19, 2015 in Rosenberg, TX at the age of 90. He was born on December 18, 1924 in Melchor Musquiz, Coahuila, Mexico to Damaso and Rita (Aguirre) Lopez. He married Juanita Esparza on December 30, 1956 in Uvalde. She preceded him in death in 2014. He is survived by two daughters, Araceli Cortes and husband, Raul; and Analui Gomez and husband, Marshall, all of Rosenberg; two sons, Roland E. Lopez and wife, Rosa Elia, of Rosenberg; and Ramiro E. Lopez and wife, Elsa, of Pasadena; a brother, Enrique Lopez of Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Raul Lopez, Jr.; two sisters, Guadalupe Lopez and Berta Lopez; and three brothers, Vicente, Antonio, and Jose Silvestri. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial following in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edson Cortes, Jesse Cervantes, Rolando Lopez, Jr., Damian Lopez, Ramiro Lopez, Jr., Javier Esparza, Lee Esparza, Jr. and Leandro Esparza.
