Raul Tellez

Raul C. Tellez, 80, of Uvalde, Texas passed away on January 22, 2025, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital. 

He was born on August 8, 1944, in Uvalde, Texas to Rosa (Costilla) and Ricardo Tellez. 

He married Gloria Mariscal on August 22, 2020, in Concan, Texas. 

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Tellez of Uvalde; two daughters, Cynthia Lyson of Idaho and Karen Lozano and husband, Rene of Uvalde; two sons, Arnold Tellez of California and Steve Sanchez and wife, Karie of Uvalde; four sisters, Rachel Tellez, Mary Garcia, Margie Barbosa, all of Uvalde and Rosalinda Reed of Iowa; brother, Robert Tellez of Uvalde; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and two sisters. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A memorial service will be celebrated on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 10 a.m. Uvalde Methodist Church.
