Rebecca Pargas

Rebecca Pargas, 90, of La Pryor passed away on October 11, 2023, at Amistad Nursing Home in Uvalde. 

She was born on August 7, 1933, in La Pryor, Texas to Irene (Hernandez) and Jesus Cervantes. 

She married Gregorio Pargas on October 7, 1953, in Uvalde, Texas.

She is survived by two daughters, Francisca “Frenchy” Fonseca of Canyon Lake and Connie Sauceda of San Antonio; four sons, Gregorio Rogelio Pargas of Crystal City, Alejandro Pargas of La Pryor, Gustavo Pargas of La Pryor and Enrique Pargas of Eagle Pass Brandon Scott Pargas from Harker Height ; brother, Juan Cervantes of La Pryor; 22 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gregorio Pargas, Sr., and son, Daniel Pargas.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 12 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. 

Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
