Refugia Cuellar

Refugia Cuca Cuellar of Uvalde passed away at her residence on January 3, 2014 at the age of 86. She was born on July 5, 1927 in Knippa, Texas to Eugenio and Guadalupe Barrera Diaz. She is survived by her daughters, Clara Balderama and husband Mario of Uvalde, Ilda Cuellar and husband Jose Cortez of San Antonio, Josie Cuellar and Edna Cuellar of Uvalde sons, Gilbert D. Cuellar Jr. and wife Dominga of Rosenberg, Ruben Cuellar and wife Dora, Hector Cuellar and wife, Becky of Uvalde sister, Carmen Vela of Indiana brothers, Pablo Diaz and wife, Sara of Florida, Eugenio Diaz Jr. and wife, Delma of Ohio and Gilberto Diaz and wife, Golda of South Dakota grandchildren, Victoria Ann Cuellar, Gilbert Cuellar III, Simon Eugene Cuellar, Cathy Barton, Debbie Flores, Eric Cuellar, Hector Cuellar Jr., Briana Marie Cuellar and Nick Velachfouski greatgrandchildren, Brandon Balderama, Gianna Balderama and Sarah Luz Balderama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilberto Cuellar parents sisters, Anita Alfaro and Alicia De Leon brother, Raul Diaz and grandson, Randy Cuellar. A rosary will be held on Saturday and a vigil on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gilberto Cuellar III, Eric Cuellar, Simon Cuellar, Hector Cuellar Jr., Nick Velachfouski and Brandon Balderama.
