Refugia Negrete

Refugia Cuca L. Negrete of Uvalde passed away on March 28, 2014 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 89. She was born on March 26, 1925 in Musquiz, Coahuila, Mexico to Pablo and Elodia Yglesias Lerma. She married Dario Negrete Jr. on October 16, 1943 in Uvalde. She is survived by her daughters, Alicia Garcia and husband Joe and Dora Johnson and husband Larry all of Uvalde 7 grandchildren 6 step grandchildren 19 great grandchildren 6 greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents husband sons, Felipe Negrete and Robert Negrete sisters, Bertha Bernal, Socorro Maldonado, and Consuelo Lerma and brothers, Raul Lerma and Pablo Lerma. A rosary will be held on Saturday and vigil on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Negrete, Felipe Negrete, Jose Garcia III, Felipe Negrete Jr, Jason Garcia Jr., Erik Gomez, Jason Garcia, and Leo Flores IV.
